We can't guarantee the weather in Scotland - after all it's famous for being unpredictable!
Sometimes you can even experience all 4 seasons in a single day. But for certain sights and activities, there are recommended times to visit, so please ask us for advice.
For example, August & September are the best months to see the heather in bloom.

May & June have lovely long evenings and the sky barely goes dark on midsummer's night.

If you are keen on attending Highland Games, be sure to visit during the main summer months of June, July or August.
As for the Edinburgh Tattoo & Edinburgh Festival, these are always held in August and accommodation in the city is in huge demand, so please ensure you contact us early.
As part of the many Homecoming Scotland' events, 'The Gathering' will be a huge celebration of the clans in Edinburgh in July 2009. We are advising people to book their accommodation and tours now for this unique experience.

September tends to be an excellent month with quieter roads and less crowds visiting the main attractions. The weather can often be splendid.

Christmas & New Year in Scotland are increasingly popular holiday celebrations in Scotland so be sure to book with us well in advance. January to March is your best opportunity for skiing in the mountains of the Highlands.

Scotland is an all year round destination and whatever the temperature outside, you will always get a warm welcome!
