Hi Marie, I am just about to finish my scrapbook from my trip! The trip round Scotland was marvelous! I loved independent travel because we were able to take as much time as we wanted to explore the sights. We spent all day at Donottar and we enjoyed coversing with Sheelah at green lawns! I loved seeing the castles and little towns in between. We took joy in even seeing a pictish standing stone in Dunfallandy. We enjoyed visiting the clava cairns and the culloden battlefields. We had good times laughing about the strange round a bout exits and driving on the opposite side of the road and the car. We were blessed to meet relatives in our clan and see the land of our forebearers. Most of all, we were immersed in a sense of wonder when it came to seeing beautiful historical sights of the olde world. Scotland is calling us back every day. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for giving us the experience. It was a wonderful bachlorette trip of our dreams and a perfect way to celebrate our upcoming marriages. Dana Elise Smith, filmmaker (USA)

Hello Marie We are still in Paris, at the moment we are here until next summer, but then we will see what is next. We had a wonderful trip this summer, as always, our hosts (and hostesses) were lovely, and we had a fabulous time. We particularly enjoyed the Southern region, both of our families are from there originally, so it was very interesting for us to visit that area and see some of our own family history. All of our hosts were great with Rachel as well, so that was a very nice benefit. Not sure at the moment what we will do next year for vacations, given that we are still finding out what our next adventure will be job-wise. But of course, if we are planning a trip back to Scotland next year, you can be sure we will keep you in mind. I have already mentioned your services to some of my colleagues and friends, hopefully some of them will seek you out if and when they head towards Scotland (or Ireland). Hope the rest of your fall is great and that you and your team have a great rest of the year. Talk to you soon I am sure. Regards from Paris Jim (and Karen and Rachel too)

Wonderful trip. Terrific and patient assistance from Marie and Elspeth. All accommodations were better than expected. Kind and courteous staff. Great help with ideas for visiting en route from one B&B to next. I could wax on but will instead wax off by saying I highly recommend them!

Hi Marie and Elspeth - our second trip with you - we loved the location of our country house hotel in the hidden glen and would go back if in the area again just for the beautiful views and rooms. Our little family run hotel in Nairn was outstanding again. Rooms are modest but spotless and have everything you could need. We had the same room as last time which I think might be the best room in the establishment. John and Ian made us feel welcome and their knowledge and passion for local products is brilliant. Food was wonderful and we ended up eating in both nights. The wine list is still one of the best I have seen in Scotland. They have without a doubt the best breakfast of anywhere we went with Aboyne being second. We enjoyed Aboyne apart from the noisy bathroom and road – but the road did quieten down after 8pm so it was not a big deal. Our country house hotel near Edinburgh Airport for our last night was perfect. The rooms were excellent, the food superb and it was great to have a gym after all that eating and drinking. Also perfect for being so close to the airport. Marie and Elspeth – give us a couple of years and we will be in touch for Ireland and probably Scotland again – we might try more West Coast next time. Best Wishes Linda and Charlie

The travel expert for France and the U.K. is Marie and their e-mail is: office@tripmadeeasy.com Below is the link to their website: http://www.francemadeeasy.com/page.php/13/About-Us--Who-We-Are-and-Affiliations.html I believe her expertise lies in the fact that she does “personalize” your trip based on your needs, likes, and her personal touch to places to visit that are just not those in all the travel books. She makes trip planning interesting and easy. If someone you know would like to hire her, please have them say that they were recommended by us – a referral client I am sure will get extra special attention. Thanks Anita

Hi Elspeth! Paul and I want to thank you deeply for assisting in the planning of our lovely vacation! The B&Bs were ALL just so warm and inviting -beautiful and relaxing retreats with delectable breakfasts and sincere hospitality - oh that made such an impact on the delightfulness of our trip! I want to thank you also for strongly advising 2-night stays in many places - that was key as well! For us, our own personal mistake was our inability to access a reliable GPS - we thought we were covered by our own technology but it failed us and we resorted to the old-fashioned method of reading the maps/road signs - which repeatedly failed us - although stopping to ask on a frequent basis proved to us how endearingly helpful the Scottish are! So...perhaps you may want to advise future clients to make CERTAIN, if travelling throughout the country, that they have GPS at all times. At least for Americans, the road signs were much less frequent and highly confusing, and made coordination with the map routes very difficult. For instance, there were no signs whatsoever to Kilchurn Castle (which we adored when we found), and not to such highlights as the fairy pools and fairy glen on Skye, which were also fabulous destinations. Nonetheless, we are in love with Scotland now, and found your advise and planning indispensable!! Thanks again, Becky & Paul

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful trip around the northern part of Scotland the last two weeks in June this past summer. Marie arrange for us to have a fantastic drive vacation spending 2 nights in different locations from Edinburgh, Deeside on the east, Nairn, Ft. William, Benderlock near Oban, Paisley, and a day trip to the Island of Islay. We enjoy the country-side, comfortable B&Bs, hotels and even a castle. There was delicious food to experience and wonderful people along our drive. It truly was a memorable trip in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary. We thank Marie and her staff for making this a so easy to plan and then enjoy.

We are just back from a remarkable time in Scotland! I contacted Marie at Scotland Made Easy in a desperate attempt to have assistance with planning a trip for my 20 year old son, 85 year old father and myself. I shared with her some of our interests and wishes and she put together an awesome itinerary for us. Every place and arrangement was perfect. I recommend the service her company provides with complete satisfaction and in the highest regard. We will definitely use her expertise for future visits to Scotland or anywhere she offers assistance in!!
