Marie and Elspeth: We had a lovely time on our trip to Scotland, as you might imagine! We felt very spoilt. Food was excellent at each of the 3 hotels you booked for us: Loch Lochy, Skye and Oban. Just the one ferry from Amandale on Skye to Mailaig was quite easy (reserved the day before). We loved the majesty of Glen Coe. Scottish Games in Taynuilt were very local, but special. Enjoyed the Cleidigh (sp?) in Oban. Well, the scenery everywhere is so wonderful. As much as we wouldn't want to be on a bus trip, there were times when we wished we weren't driving so much. :) Thank you for the nice bookings. We're tempted to do a tour of France now! Hello Marie, I've been meaning to send you our comments for some time. Overall the trip was excellent. The gaps between our stops did not seem far, and our itinery covered a good range of scenery and points of interest. Below, I've set out our comments on the accommodation, and if our friends Pam and John have anything to add, I'm sure they will! Paisley - Beautiful. A lovely house and gardens and a very welcoming and friendly owner. We tend to stay in city centres when visiting places like Glasgow, so the journey into the city was a little less convenient than we would have liked, but we felt it was worth it to have the splendid accommodation. Skye - Lovely as far as we were concerned. We were spoilt with a large room and an excellent view. Added to this, Alison was very friendly and made us feel at home. Overall, we were all delighted with this property, and its proprietor. Nairn - Excellent accommodation, food and location, and John and Ian were brilliant hosts. But you obviously already know all that! Pitlochry. Excellent again. The accommodation was beautiful. Very much the style we like, and Andrea and Martin were very good hosts. Thank you for a very well put-together trip, of which we have very happy memories. Hope the above is helpful. Kind regards, Paul and Liz. Woodford Green. UK

G'day Marie, I'm glad we met in Nairn. You don't often get to press the flesh (shake hands) when doing business over the internet. Joshua and I had a ball or should I say, "it was a hoot". Our tour was definitely "Made Easy" using Scotland Made Easy's services. It would have been a nightmare organising all those different accommodations and working out which route to take, especially when you consider how much my son and I wanted to see over the 10 days. Joshua is 10 and therefore the highlights for him where castles and ruins as it fed his imagination; particularly those associated with movies he'd seen or history he new about (Monty Python, Highlander, The Royal Family, Mary Queen of Scotts and forts like Fort George), the Landmark Forrest Theme Park was a great idea and we spent a few hours there, the Highland Games as this had lots of activities and rides (Joshua won second place in the welly boot throwing competition), going to the movies in Edinburgh and the haunted castle. The things he didn't like: The driving and spending lots of time walking around historical places (attention span of a pea). We also did a glass bottom boat at Kyle of Loch Alsh, a car ferry from Armadale to Mallaig and the Jacobite Train. I loved everything and wished I had more time. It's a major problem because I wanted to stop all the time to see or do something. There was so much we didn't do. I'll just have to come back. The only real negative I can think of was the castle at Dingwall that we stayed overnight in. All though clean, comfortable, good location, good food, good ghost talk; the room we were in had a major damp wall issue and they hid this by hanging rugs over it, however that damp musty smell was there. I wouldn't do that again. All our accommodation was excellent and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. I'd stay with all of them again (of course Marie, booked through you). The scenery in Scotland is very powerful and even though we had rain and cloud cover every day, it still didn't dampen the beauty of Scotland, particularly the Highland. I'll be back and I'll be booking through Scotland Made Easy. Thanks Marie Regards Chris and Joshua Godwin. Australia, living in Austria

A big thank you to Marie and Elspeth for their help in planning our wonderful Scottish holiday. Thanks for suggesting we include the Outer Hebrides in our itinerary (we thoroughly enjoyed the Isle of Lewis/Harris). It was so nice to know that at the end of a day of touring we had a lovely B&B to stay in. All the B&B's were unique in their own way - warm and inviting with wonderful, friendly hosts. We had great food, great hikes, discovered some stunning beaches, interesting roads, spectacular sea and mountain scenery and of all things, great weather. It was nice to meet Marie in Nairn and we will definitely recommend Scotland Made Easy to our friends. Cheers David and Arlene Shankie Port Alberni, BC. Canada

Dear Marie, We are now settled back in France so I thought I would send you a quick mail on how we got on: We enjoyed our tour very much – mountains, castles, lochs (monsters) and islands. In general the weather was kind and warm, the scenery magic and the gardens we visited fabulous; every plant seemed to be in flower. Thank you for all your help in planning it. The places we stayed in were all very different [which we liked] and some were excellent ; amongst the best were Pitlochry and Aboyne - good sized rooms, nice people and good breakfasts; also the Hotel in Nairn where all the staff were very friendly, the food was good and the hotel was clean, well run, with great views over the sea. In Plockton, we liked the owner - an interesting man, he looked after us very well, [didn’t see wife, partner] and we enjoyed using his garden; we even used it for a picnic on the second night which was very scenic . The village itself was very picturesque and we enjoyed walking around. The fish restaurant was also a success on the first night – thank you for that. Oban, our final stop - again we had a top floor room with great views over the sea . I hope this all is constructive, we thought the holiday a great success and thank you for your work in setting it up. Best wishes, Simon and Judith France.

Marie, I will write more when I get a chance to get my thoughts together - but BRAVO!!!!! All places were beyond our expectations. Our hosts could not have been more accomodating and were great information sources for us. Ian at our Nairn hotel spent well over 90 minutes with Ron doing a scotch tasting and sharing his vast knowledge of scotch - a real hilight for Ron. I think our favorite spot - due to scenery and incredible hospitality was on Skye at the remote B&B near Dunvegan - although none of the other B &B's were lacking in any way, shape, or form. Thanks again. We will DEFINITELY recommend you - and did to several of the other B & B guests that we encountered along the way. Sandy and Ron Landis and Boys. Eads, TN USA
