Dear Marie: Jocelyn and I have been back in Canada for a little over three weeks now which has given us time to reflect on the wonderful trip you put together for us. This is just a brief note to thank you and to tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday in Scotland and once again to thank you for popping around to meet us while we were in Nairn. Every one of the B&B/hotels to which you sent us were marvellous and the folks running the B&B’s were all charming and interesting hosts and hostesses. The people at the car rental had a little hiccup getting us and the car connected in the first instance but rose to the occasion very professionally once notified that we were still sitting in the hotel lobby awaiting our pickup. They soon had us off and running however with a minimum of further delay and gave us an upgraded vehicle for the same price plus free transport to and from the hotel for our trouble. I interacted with three of their staff members and all were charming and effective in their roles. We also had a delightful final dinner in Edinburgh at “Ondine”, a seafood restaurant at 2 George IV Bridge, recommended to us by the sommelier at “The Three Chimneys” where we had an absolutely fabulous dinner thanks to your recommendation. I wish you the best of luck in the next stage of your career and thank you once again for setting us upon such a marvellous holiday tour in Scotland. I have to tell you also that it was 8 degrees and pouring rain when I arrived in Edinburgh which was much to my dismay. However, the next day the sun came out and for the most part we had gorgeous weather for the rest of our stay in Scotland. In fact, we had one absolutely spectacular day during which we rode the gondola to near the top of Ben Nevis and then hiked on to the viewing point from which we had a magnificent vista under a cloudless blue sky in air that was completely without haze right out to the horizon. Jocelyn loved her first Scottish experience and is already talking about contemplating a return. With best wishes. Yours sincerely, Bob Dr. C. Robert Lucas, D.Phil. Hello Marie: A quick note to follow up on my wonderful week in Scotland. All 5 B&Bs were different from each other and all were really good choices on your part. All the hosts/hostesses were friendly and helpful. It was very nice, traveling alone, that I knew you knew them. I used your suggestions for restaurants most of the time. My 5 star Paisley B&B was a much needed oasis when I arrived later than expected after I missed my KLM connecting flight in Amsterdam (between Hamburg and Edinburgh) because KLM arrived late in Amsterdam. I asked to be put onto an overbooked KLM at 4:30 p.m. and got a seat to Edinburgh. Drove slowly from Edinb to Paisley by driving behind a slow moving carnival truck, which gave me time to get acquainted w/ left side driving. My room at Paisley had more than I could ever have used, including a tea tray w/ cookies should I be hungry in the evening. The Oban B&B was a great location for walking around. I walked twice up to McCaig's Folly, once waiting for the sunset. Toured Oban Distillery. Wonderful lunch of seafood at the upstairs seafood restaurant at the ferry dock. I could have happily remained in Scotland eating oysters for weeks!! My Ft William B&B - My room had a perfect view to the lake. I drove to the area where I walked at Glen Nevis area, along the river and later walked way up one of the smaller mountains by the visitor center. Lunch at the little restaurant up the hill frm visitor center. No tables available for dinner at the seafood restaurant on the water in Ft William, but I had wonderful dinner at the Lime Tree not far from the B&B. Drove to Mallaig and back to Ft. William, an easy drive. Delicious lunch of seafood chowder at little restaurant in Mallaig, got in just before it closed for the afternoon. My Country House Hotelat Dulnain Bridge: Wonderful place and fabulous food!!!! I ordered lamb dinners twice. Met a man who said he knows you (Kevin?) when he was meeting w/ the new woman who appeared to be in charge of this little country house hotel. I booked a horse trekking in the misty rain in the next town for two hour walk in the woods, which was fantastic. Finally my B&B in Edinburgh: another great B&B and the owners so pleasant. I can't tell you how glad I was to dump my rental car back at Edinb Airport and be able to walk in Edinburgh without worrying about which side of the street I was driving on!! That inexpensive blue bus that runs to/from airport was perfect transportation. Walking to town from my B&B for me was very manageable; I never used the buses. For someone less active, it may have been a bit far, but then there are buses all the time. I got to Edinburgh from Grantown on Spey and checked in to my accommodation in time to walk to the symphony at 15:00 at Usher Hall: the Scottish Symphony Orchestra. I sat in the lower area first but then moved up to a balcony seat for Mahler #7 symphony that had the stage completely full of musicians with every imaginable instrument. I toured the Parliament, an outstanding modern building! I never completed the ride on the open bus, it took too long at each stop, plus it was (my entire week) raining. I toured the Surgeon's Museum, fascinating collection. Patisserie Valerie is excellent, on Rose Street. Also excellent and simple place, and recommended by you on Rose St is the Mussel Inn. I would have been happy to eat there more nights. I was very pleased with the entire trip! Warmly, Nancy

We are a group of 5 persons of 2 HK family. We would like to thank to Marie for all the arrangement. All the B & B are very good, especially the Tamarin Lodge in Ullapool. Message to HK guys: We had been self-driving many many times in Japan, Europe, Canada and US. This is the first time we ask agency to arrange for us. It is really like their slogan--"Scotland Made Easy". So, if you are going to the Highland, please take my advice to contact Marie !

Our trip to Ireland was very special. Every place we stayed at was unique in its own way. We especially loved our last B&B in Clifden, the Dolphin Beach House. Having breakfast while overlooking the bay and the dolphins was a real treat. Breakfasts were wonderful everywhere and our dinner in Lisdoonvarna at the Wild Honey Inn was delicious. The service at our hotel in Dublin was spectacular - made one feel like royalty. Once again, you outdid yourself with the accommodations. We really felt like we had a trip that was planned just for us and suited us perfectly. Looking forward to France Made Easy in the future!

Dear Marie, Thanks mainly to your efforts, our self-drive trip to Scotland was all that we had dreamed of during the many months of planning! The Sundown House was the very best!  The entire experience with Liz was exceptional.  It's just amazing what she accomplishes.  We made our way to the Isle of Skye, whose rugged beauty was most impressive. Our young hosts at Kinlock Lodge were kind and helpful; we were always in good hands there and very comfortable.   Our stop number three, Pitlochry, is an adorable little town.  We liked the Auld Smiddy Inn so much that we dined there both nights of our stay, and had the opportunity to visit Bruar to hike the trail and see the falls dedicated to Robert Burns.  And, although we arrived in Edinburgh in a chilly, windy rain, we had a terriffic time.  Since the Apex Hotel is located right near the Balmoral, which we knew from a previous trip to Scotland, we were able to find our way around early on.  We had two great recommendations for dinner from Linda, concierge at the Apex.  We found the Whiski Bar and Restaurant on the Royal Mile on our own and sat in on some of the beautiful traditional Scottish music the night before our departure.  The food was very good everywhere we went. Thank you again for all your attention to detail.  You answered our emails promptly every time over all the months of making arrangements, and we profited from your prodigious notes and research. Your directions were helpful; we had no trouble finding our way from one stay to the next. We wish you continued success with Scotland Made Easy. We have treasured memories of your Scottish hospitality. Eleanor and Pat Urciuoli
